Karma

Karma.
We hear about it all the time.
"I'll let Karma take care of her!" "Why do all these bad things happen to me. I must have been an awful person in a past life!"
We have developed an understanding that Karma is going to fulfill our revenge or punish us when we've been "bad". Nothing could be further from the truth. That is NOT what Karma is about. Karma is the stage upon which our Soul's Mission is set. It is the path we follow to fulfill that mission! When we veer away from our path and are heading the wrong direction, Karma is what puts us back on... Or tries to.
We are often so filled with our fear, judgement of self and others, or our own self-loathing to allow ourselves beyond the barriers we put in front of us. Karma is what keeps putting those painful, difficult, (what we see as) negative situations in our path. Not to punish us, but to remind us that we MUST heal. We MUST walk in a space of TRUE LOVE: The love that we give from a healthy, whole, balanced space. The love we give ourselves when we work on our Shadow sides; those parts of ourselves that we want to keep hidden, keep under the scab, and keep denying. The love that does not judge its own vessel, or that of another. Karma will not punish you. Karma will simply recreate those scenes on your Center Stage until you WORK, DEAL, and HEAL them!!! Only then can we shift our energies and get into the True Flow that leads us to our Soul's Mission!

LEAVING THE COMFORT ZONE

Learning to get out of our self-imposed comfort zone is never easy. It takes trial and error sometimes. We find ourselves doubting that we'll ever "get there". What we forget is that it's in the "getting there" that we find the best lessons about how to Live our HIGHEST LIFE! We take for granted that, living in a world of so much abundance, everything comes easily. And, when it doesn't, we begin to doubt the process. Welcome to Earth School, where we think the lessons come at too high a price! But actually, what we have to give up in the process typically never really served our purpose to begin with! On the other side, we find a Peace... a Joy... a Surrender of Ego that we never imagined could FREE us to live an Empowered Life! Never Be Afraid of the Shadow. Never be afraid to rest on the inside of the discomfort. We will find ourselves beginning to see in that darkness and find treasures that take us to Greater Heights! THIS is where we Rediscover Our Inner Light!

"Fall"ing Gracefully

Thanksgiving - Blessings

Full day of pulling out the spent tomato, zucchini, and eggplant plants; cutting back the decorative grass and peonies; pulling up MORE violets from my garden and the sunflowers I let the chipmunk grow in it; and, sadly, removing the pool steps and covering it up for the winter.
I'm making a turkey dinner- not the "good" kind with homemade everything, but good enough for the beginning of October (and besides, a week from tomorrow is Canadian Thanksgiving, so...)
Fall is here, and although we'll have some beautiful weather to come, it's not here to stay for any length of time. I had a vision of snow on top of the pool cover. Not necessarily my favorite. There is GRATITUDE for ALL of it. It brings back memories of wonderful days of LIVING that we've had, friends and family that we spent them with, joy in the warmth of the sun and the cool of an air conditioner...
And, there is BLESSING in it what is to come, too. Restful days not spent thinking about having to go weed, or vacuum the pool, or mow the lawn. Relaxation in front of the fireplace with a hot drink (even if it is after having to shovel). Time to go within and continue diving into Who I Really Am with Spirit.
It's been a tremendous year of growth for me and, although growth isn't always easy or pretty, I am so happy that I am SO HAPPY for the first time in my life. Healing. Taking Risks. Setting Goals.
For Today, That Is MORE Than Enough.
